The service develops an Enterprise Portfolio Operating System Establishment Roadmap, identifying the capability development, education, operating rhythm, governance, adoption and continual improvement activities required to progressively embed Enterprise Portfolio Architecture and EPOS within the organisation.

This establishes the pathway from initial application to enduring enterprise operation. Once established, Enterprise Portfolio Planning, Portfolio Delivery Planning, Portfolio Delivery Execution and Enterprise Portfolio Interpretation operate concurrently and continually, with enterprise perspectives and artefacts evolving as Enterprise Demand, Delivery Responses and enterprise conditions change.

Continuous Operation: The preceding services progressively establish the foundations of EPOS; they do not become completed sequential stages. As EPOS matures, EPP, PDP, PDE and EPI operate together as connected and continual enterprise capabilities, continually refreshing enterprise understanding, planning and response as conditions evolve.

Scoping: Organisational readiness, capability requirements, education needs, operating arrangements, implementation priorities and delivery approach are agreed according to the organisation’s context, maturity and long-term objectives.

Outcome: A practical, organisation-specific roadmap for progressively establishing, embedding and continually operating EPOS as an enduring enterprise capability.
